Our products come in three distinct formats – Feature Stories, Short Takes and Sponsored Games.

Newspaper Feature Stories – StatePoint Media will highlight your organization in a comprehensive feature story that reaches millions of consumers nationwide. As StatePoint Media’s premium product, our features typically range from 400 to 600 words in length, providing customers with an expanded opportunity to favorably promote an initiative, program, event or the company in general. A photo is included at no additional charge.

Our Feature Stories are available on-demand or in timely Special Supplements, allowing us to develop a multi-story campaign that delivers ongoing coverage throughout the entire year.

Short Takes – These 100-word or less briefs can take the form of a “Fun Fact”, “Did You Know?”, “Timely Tip”, or “Need to Know” and typically run in conjunction with related features, providing you with an opportunity to cost-effectively generate additional coverage for your brand. Whereas a full feature provides a more expansive opportunity to promote a particular topic, a Short Take allows you to provide that one fun, interesting or important piece of information related to a particular topic.

Game Sponsorships – Along with story opportunities, StatePoint uniquely offers sponsorships of two of the most popular games in the newspaper business: Crosswords and Sudoku. These not only deliver additional promotional coverage within many of the same papers where your stories run, they garner attention in papers where your stories don’t appear.

Our Game Sponsorships provide a more compelling brand-building opportunity than traditional advertising, because your sponsorship is integrated directly into the puzzle. Plus, readers spend more time on game pages as they work to solve a puzzle.

The Customer Process

1) StatePoint Media works with each client to develop a customized promotional campaign that meets specific goals.

2) Clients must complete an online interview for any feature or Short Take story orders. A StatePoint writer is then assigned to the story based on his or her expertise on the topic of coverage. StatePoint Media's editorial team is comprised of award-winning journalists whose work has been published in such industry leading newspapers and magazines as The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Woman's World, TV Guide, Saveur and many others.

3) Prior to distribution, clients receive the opportunity to review their story or game sponsorship and are required to provide StatePoint Media with final approval.

4) The story or game is then scheduled for final production, distribution and tracking across StatePoint Media’s proprietary editorial wire service.

5) Following distribution, clients receive access to their online, dynamically-updated StatePoint Media Coverage Achieved Report (View Sample Report). These reports – the most trusted and accurate in the industry – rely on our proprietary tracking system to confirm every placement directly with the respective newspaper’s editor or reporter.

6) Clients receive a digital copy of their story or game sponsorship – with promotional rights.
